In a time of pandemic like COVID-19, it is very difficult to see those who are still dedicated to showing their support to the society. It is common for people in these times to turn a blind eye to the suffering of others, giving excuses for not helping out.
Therefore, we should not applaud ordinary deeds when a person, group or association spends an extra mile to put smiles on the faces of peoples even to their detriment.
The Mercy Wave Foundation has traveled an extra mile to provide a $ 10,000 (more than 4 million naira) relief package to a Nigerian American who lost his job as a result of the pandemic.
The philanthropic nature of Dr. Mercy Seaphrora, CEO of Uwakwe, was a tremendous financial relief that speaks well. The beneficiary of the package thanked the foundation and praised the CEO for keeping in mind the well-being of the people.
Following this philanthropic gesture, the foundation is making a wave of weekly sessions on their social media platforms so that people can continually benefit.
