In 1929, five women from Oloko Eastern Nigeria changed the story of women in Nigeria forever. Their clamor for their rights led to the Aba women riot. Many women lost their lives.
To build on the gains of the protest, the women began the AUGUST MEETING.
August Meeting is the powerful tale of the daily experiences of women in the society exploring themes such as female genital mutilation, gender equality, women participation in politics.
